Someone has made a fantastic Ryan's Hope tumblr. Really gorgeous.

I seem to have become a huge fan of The Good Wife--especially of Alan Cumming's character Eli Gold. I really wish America Ferrera would join the cast instead of just guest-starring, because she and Cumming have amazing chemistry. (But now I'm hearing the show may be "on the bubble" of cancellation, which would really suck.) Are any of my LJ friends fans of this show?

General Hospital currently seems to be trying for "most depressing storyline of 2011," as if what anyone wants to watch five days a week (especially with the goings on in Japan, Libya etc.) is children dead and in peril. The story's a retread of Claire Labine's beautiful "a heart for Maxie" storyline of 1994. In this case, Luke (while driving under the influence) has run down and killed his son Lucky's adopted son Jake (resulting in Carly's daughter/Luke's grandniece Joss getting a kidney transplant for her ultra-sudden bout of cancer). Ill-advised and badly-paced as the story has been, it's given Tony Geary the meatiest material he's had in years, and he's been riveting. He also seems to be more LUKE than he has in a long while--the remorseful, self-loathing Luke I remember from long ago when he raped Laura. Jonathan Jackson's Lucky has also been brilliant, and the two actors together are a joy to watch. But wow, this story is dark, and I suspect it may be more than viewers want to watch day after day. The ratings will tell.
