ugh, Sunday night
Dec. 9th, 2002 12:06 amI usually have trouble Sunday nights, having slept late Sunday morning and thus unable to fall asleep as early as I should to get up for work Monday. I would love to stay up tonight and read the Hard Candy fics (especially pleasing to me as I am 1) a season 6 fan and 2) an avid collector of Hard Candy nail polishes - am currently wearing "Trance"!). But that'll have to wait till tomorrow night...
Today I read Henry James, watched two Angels (I've seen all the Buffys but am still catching up on Angel, currently watching Season 1). Also reread a story about a vampire suffragette that I wrote the year I lived in Bath, England with my then husband (1990, WAY pre-Buffy!)...I'm surprised by how much I like some of it (it feels at times like a different person wrote it), although it does have a bit too much dogmatic feminism to it (due in part perhaps to being married to someone I shouldn't have been! or maybe due to being a lot younger).
Tonight, went to my friend Dave's birthday karaoke celebration, drank a bit too much, rushed over to Angeles Bohemios coffeehouse to see Eileen's band play but they'd already finished. Later at home watched the Sopranos season finale - pretty amazing.
Now to try and sleep!
