Stop-motion
When I was little, my dad taught me how stop-motion worked, and I made a very brief animated film using my drawings. It was titled The Giant Bird Love Fight. At some point it got transferred onto a CD, where it lurks somewhere in my apartment.
Shower curtains
I don't think I've ever lived anywhere that had shower curtains instead of a shower door. (I really would prefer shower curtains, as they're a lot easier to keep clean.) It seems that I only encounter shower curtains in hotel bathrooms, like the Madison Concourse, where I just stayed for Wiscon.
Hats
I like hats but can't really wear them, as they make my neuritis flare up. The last time I bought one was in 1997 when I purchased an irresistible leopard hat at a boutique in the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, back when I lived on that side of town. I took the leopard hat home but then realized I couldn't comfortably wear it. It sat on top of my desk for awhile until I gave it to my friend Carolyn, who happily wore it. (Also, whenever I see top hats in 1930s movies, I wish they would make a comeback.)
