a thought about Genesis of the Daleks

I was rewatching Genesis of the Daleks yesterday, and part of it had bearing on that "Does the Doctor consider his companion(s) more important than the rest of the universe?" discussion that was going on recently. There's that particularly scary bit where, despite the Doctor's best efforts, the Thals launch a rocket at the disintegrating Kaled dome. Kaleds go boom. The Doctor looks absolutely horrified. His first words? NOT: OMG you killed all those people!

Nope, his first words are: "I sent Sarah and Harry in there..."
