weekend

Didn't watch the Superbowl today, big surprise. I went to see True Grit, which I thoroughly enjoyed, watched some of the L&O marathon (one early episode featured one of the bank tellers from Dog Day Afternoon and David Groh) and some Dark Shadows (in which Barnabas shoots Angelique, who curses him with the Vampire Curse, whereupon a rather hilarious bat appears and bites him, whereupon Angelique turns out not to be dead after all but can't manage to uncurse Barnabas, oops!).

Also I've been working on the Jo book. I'd like to revise a chapter a week, but this weekend I've been working on two chapters simultaneously, which means I'm not quite done with either of 'em. I think the next chapter will go more quickly. I hope.

Did you know they're making a film of Dark Shadows? I didn't. I just came across this article and thought of you/your journal here.

OK, good! :D

lol I limit my media intake so I'm (often) late hearing about things, but I'm glad that you knew.

That is so cool. With Tim Burton doing it, it'll probably be really good! :) Not that I can remember that much detail from it, but I do remember seeing some of it, at some point, somehow...

And Mr. Depp is in it, too. Yeah, think I'll be seeing this one. OK. Enough babbling on your journal. Haha!

Yay for noveling and getting out (and staying in, too). :-)

We didn't watch the Super Bowl either, but instead had tea and sandwiches and scones while watching Jeeves and Wooster. That wasn't a planned deviance from the societal norm, just what we thought would be fun on a Sunday evening, but we were pretty amused when we realized that apparently everyone else on the internet was watching football.

Yay noveling!
