wow

I never thought I'd see the day, but Bob Guza is OUT as headwriter of General Hospital. He once was a great writer (and he's had his moments since), but his burnout has been palpable the last few years. I'd celebrate, but the new headwriter is Garin Wolf, who headwrote GH during the Writers' Strike--and he wasn't all that great, as I recall. Too bad they couldn't get someone great, like Claire Labine and/or her kids. (Meanwhile the rumors about GH's possible cancellation next year continue to percolate.)

Who am I kidding? I am still celebrating!

Meanwhile, I'm delighted The Good Wife has been renewed. I may be losing my beloved One Life To Live in January, but at least I'll still have The Good Wife!

Tell me about this show? It's flickered up here and there on my friendlist, but I've never seen an episode.

political strategist Eli Gold, played with great wit by Alan Cumming.

I'd watch that.

I'm glad Guza's reign of terror is over. I just hope this new guy will be decent, especially if the show's days are numbered.

Good points! There is definitely reason to hope.

I remember Wolf as being uninspired, too. But maybe it'll be different now.

Hugs!

I'm still loving The Good Wife too. We've got a couple more episodes to go over here.
