I had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with my mom. We ate turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. Then we watched a screener of The Social Network, which we both enjoyed a lot, though we agreed it could've used more women as actual characters and not bimbettes.

I'd been pretty worried about the Garage Kitty because she hadn't been eating. But this afternoon she finally started again. She's not eating as much as I'd like, but hopefully she's on the mend.

Today I've been eating leftovers and working on the Jo book and running non-Black Friday-ish errands. Also I finished reading Seanan McGuire's fantastic An Artificial Night. Now I am heating up leftover pumpkin pie which I will consume while watching SOAPnet's Jason Morgan marathon (well, I'll watch the 1990s eps anyway).

Okay, I've gotta ask about your user pic of Delia Ilene Kristen. Jaime (my GF) and I are big fans of One Life to Live where she plays Roxy. Great character! I've seen this user pic you use for a long time and finally realized it was Roxy/Delia. I assume you're a fan? Just always been curious. :-)

Yes, I am a huge fan of Ilene Kristen. I watch Ryan's Hope reruns on SOAPnet as well as present-day OLTL. (My friend nwhepcat was on the writing team of Ryan's Hope in the early '80s.) I also saw Ilene K. do a musical evening in Los Angeles a few months back, which was terrific...

I've been watching OLTL for 15 years now. Jaime (stillnotbored ) and I have SOAPnet so we can watch around her revolving retail job. We seldom miss an episode.

Excellent news about Garage Kitty.

It struck me today that I need to find out what the main plotlines were in The Archers and Emmerdale Farm circa May/June/July 1976. Edward would probably follow one or both when he's in London, ostensibly for the information needed to keep up with current farming hot topics but also for the soap opera qualities.

Yum! We didn't do a Thanksgiving dinner of any kind, so we have no leftovers. On the one hand, I'm glad not to be tempted by too much sugar, but on the other: pumpkin pie! NOM!
