Doctor Who - The Long Game
Man, that was shippy. Adam's brief presence merely seems to have further cemented the Doctor/Rose relationship. Probably my favorite moment was when they were in the elevator and the Doctor said, "Looks like it's just you and me," and Rose said, "Yeah," and he said, "Good," and they smiled and held hands as the door closed...
While I was glad (and a little surprised) that Adam got the heave ho so quickly, I was much more intrigued by him as a character when he turned out to be so flawed. I loved that he went ahead with the Gunn-esque brain thingy - and I loved the Doctor's horror at this, and that both the Doctor and Rose agreed he wasn't worth keeping on. Actions, consequences.
Not as intense an ep as last week, but very satisfying.
Video Journeys has Doctor Who VHS tapes! I rented The Five Doctors...

Spoilery comments for The Long Game, don't look, don't look!
Only recurrent criticism is, Rose seems to be taking to all the weirdness/danger with *no* freakout whatsoever, even when it looks as though she's about to become lunch/cannon fodder. I'm sorry, but there are very few 19 (or 90) year olds who would take that in their stride! But hey. *g*

Hee! Not subtle in the least!

I think Rose has actually become a danger junkie. She's so happy to be rid of her boring shopgirl existence, she doesn't mind almost dying on a regular basis! In yesterday's episode, there's that moment when she says to the Doctor, "Trouble?" and he smiles and says, "Oh, yeah," and she smiles too. I think she really enjoys the thrill of the danger. Though that's also all wrapped up in the thrill of the Doctor... :-)
