I'm participating in a Halloween reading this Wednesday from 6-8 pm, October 29th:

Southland Poets of the Fantastic Present "Horror Fiction, Poetry, and Music at the Woodland Hills Library. Guests include Denise Dumars, Gwynne Garfinkle, Samantha Henderson, Deborah P Kolodji, Vanessa Van Wagner, Kathabela and Rick Wilson. The library is located at 22200 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills.

This afternoon I made calls to Pennsylvania for the Obama campaign. Everyone I spoke to said they were voting for Obama. If I weren't so worried about the Republicans trying to hijack the voting machines, I'd feel optimistic.

I just got my first pumpkin scone of the season from Starbucks. The weather is pleasant today--I'm just hoping we're not gonna have too much more late late summer before proper autumn kicks in.
