I'm hoping that the influx of OLTL characters will help shift the balance. John McBain's not one of my favorite characters, but I think he will actually be allowed to be an effective cop and a moral presence, which the show desperately needs. I'm hoping Anna will get to play that kind of role too. Since her return, she's already come to seem like the heart of the show for me--and since she's one of my all-time favorites, I'm so happy to see her written well again.
