nausea, freak storms, soap squeeage
Feb. 25th, 2005 03:12 pmI'm feeling rather nauseated, perhaps due to the bacon, egg and spinach salad from Trader Joe's I had for lunch. And there's a thunderstorm/hail storm advisory at the moment, though the storms appear to be extremely localized, so I might not see any of the weird weather. I hope.
But today's Ryan's Hope was so marvelous. More sparkage between brother- and sister-in-laws Jack Finelli and Siobhan Ryan (my Ryan's Hope OTP), regarding the NYC rent strike Siobhan's spearheading, which has so far resulted in the mugging of community leader Ethel Green (played by Nell Carter) by the shady apartment-owner goons. Plus today David Rasche reprised his wonderfully comic role as smarmy journalist Wes Leonard (who has a crush on Siobhan): "I'm not an activist. Especially when I'm hungover, I'm not an activist."
Plus there was a montage of photos from Maeve Ryan's home town of Skibbereen, which made me long to visit Ireland (which effect Ryan's Hope frequently has on me).
Meanwhile, General Hospital continues to be surprisingly good - and today's cliffhanger was genuinely chilling. ( GH spoilers )
