Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] mosca and [livejournal.com profile] snarkhunter!!!

I was up late-ish last night putting the finishing touches on my vid, encoding and uploading it. I'm quite proud of the finished project. And according to my web statistics page, the vid's been accessed 101 times since I posted the link this morning! (Hope not too many people have had trouble downloading it - it is a big file, but I couldn't get the smaller encodes to look halfway decent. Next time I make a vid, it will be a two-minute song! Plus my web provider's been doing maintenance today, so there have been some brief interruptions of web site availability, darn it.)

[livejournal.com profile] livii wrote a Doctor/Rose fic that has penguins!!! And it's a lovely story: Sunday In The Park With George, or, One Place Rose Tyler Never Visited

Today's Ryan's Hope was a veritable bonanza of Jack/Siobhan UST.

Tonight it's back to the chapter six revisions!

ETA: Star Wars? I haven't seen a Star Wars film since the first one...

Now, I'm not generally one to complain about lack of feedback. But it is rather startling that over 110 people have downloaded (or, at least, tried to download) my latest vid, and I've only gotten a smidgen of feedback. Hmmph. Then again, I know it is easy to forget to feedback on vids, since it takes time to download 'em in the first place, and by the time you watch the vid, you're not necessarily still on the same webpage anymore. But sheesh, nonetheless.

That's just a mild sheesh, though, because I'm really pleased with the way the vid turned out. And this evening I came up with the perfect song idea for an end-of-season Doctor/Rose vid which (if I'm still in the mood) I will make after my residency period (by which time all of the eps will have aired). But I think I'll keep the song a secret until I do it. ::rubs hands together gleefully::

Now it's back to chapter six!

A couple of cool researchy links I found while looking up stuff for chapter six:

New Musical Express table of contents, 1953-1969

1960s British Rock and Popular Music: A Selected Chronology (includes political/historical info within the musical timeline)

ETA: And a research-related question: Does anybody know what Sylvia Plath's citizenship status was in the UK once she was married to Ted Hughes? Did she become a naturalized citizen? [livejournal.com profile] the_red_shoes, do you know the answer to this one?
