noveling and movies
Sep. 7th, 2008 09:51 pmRevising two chapters at the same time seems to be working pretty well. Whenever I get stuck on one, I just hop over to the other.
I really need to find a 1970s New York guidebook. A lot of the info I need for the novel is on the web, but a lot isn't.
This weekend I watched Olivier's Othello and rewatched Dog Day Afternoon--not exactly light entertainment. I pretty much know Dog Day Afternoon by heart, though the version I've seen a zillion times is the "clean" one my dad taped off broadcast TV back in the seventies. So the vast amount of "fucks" in the film always surprises me.
In the latest poll, McCain is doing better than Obama, though I'm assuming it's a temporary blip due to Palin and the RNC. Which begs the question: what kind of idiots would be favorably swayed by Palin and the RNC?!?!
Almost time to watch Mad Men!
