gwynnega: (Jack Fenelli)
It's henna day, and I'm sitting here with the green glop on my head, listening to the Passing Strange soundtrack and reeling at the financial crisis/bailout. Later I'll try to finish up the chapter seven revisions and make another trip to Trader Joe's.

Last night I watched the 1972 production of The Scarecrow (which first aired on PBS) starring Gene Wilder and a very young Blythe Danner. A wonderful play, and possibly the best performance I've ever seen from Gene Wilder (which is saying a lot).

I finished reading Amanda Cross's Poetic Justice yesterday, and it was all I could do to make myself take a little break before continuing on with the fourth book in the series, The Theban Mysteries. I'm still reading Diary of a Provincial Lady and the Louis Edmonds biography...

The utterly recalcitrant chapter seven revisions are DONE. Wheeee!

I'm hoping to finish chapter eight (which doesn't need much more work) this week. Chapter nine will be a doozy, but it should be fun.

Now I'm eating Trader Joe's triple ginger snaps and drinking Riesling. I think I'll read a little of the London Review of Books and try to wind down...
