Republican presidential nominee John McCain this afternoon said he would suspend his presidential campaign tomorrow to return to Washington and help reach agreement on a plan to solve the financial crisis on Wall Street, and said he wants to delay Friday night's presidential debate.

I'm sure if he weren't falling in the polls, he'd be doing the same thing, right? Yeah, SURE he would. Obama's ahead, so McCain wants to take his toys and go home...

I started reading an Edna O'Brien book as a palate cleanser after finishing Amanda Cross's Poetic Justice--but that failed to stave off my desire to dive into the next Cross book, so this morning I started The Theban Mysteries.
