It is disheartening, if not surprising, to discover that Alice Walker is a TERF as well as an antisemite. Her work (especially Meridian, You Can't Keep a Good Woman Down, The Color Purple, In Search of Our Mothers' Gardens, and her early books of poetry) meant so much to me as a young writer. What a disappointment.
