On to chapter 19 (plus I need to go back and slightly tweak a plot thread in previous chapters--probably only a handful of sentences will need to be changed).

I've been enjoying Edmund White's memoir City Boy. Also, today I watched the final episode of Dark Shadows, to my surprise--I was only on disc 2 of the final boxed set, but apparently discs 3 and 4 are special features. I'm a bit sad to have reached the end, though I still need to watch some of the early, pre-Barnabas episodes.

I remember that last episode of Dark Shadows! Didn't the cute young couple finally get to move to Boston and live reasonably happily ever after? As sad as I was to see the show end, it was a real relief that some of the characters finally got to enjoy life a little bit. Although having only "Password" to watch before I started my homework really sucked.

The cute young couple DID get to move to Boston and live happily ever after. It was a nice ending for that storyline, but since it was only a happy ending for the Parallel Time 1840 characters, and none of the characters who'd been on the show for the bulk of the series were present (though the actors were), it wasn't the world's most satisfying conclusion!
