Though I hate getting up early during the weekend (or any day, really), I got up early this morning and drove to the salon, where I got a beautiful haircut. (I really should've had my hair cut a month or two ago, before the hot weather set in.) Now I'm home and hennaing my hair, a much easier process now that there's so much less hair to deal with.

I am longing for autumn, though we don't usually get it here until around Halloween. Meanwhile, I am Honestly Very Close To Finishing this draft of the Jo Book.

I enjoyed the new Doctor Who episode, especially Madam Vastra and Jenny and Strax. I happily would watch a spinoff with those three. I can tell I'm really going to enjoy Capaldi's Doctor. I'm not a huge Clara fan, but the dynamic between her and the Twelfth Doctor may help somewhat.

WHAT I REALLY LIKED: Peter Capaldi!
WHAT I REALLY DISLIKED: everything else. Feh.

I think the ep was just not my cup of tea -- I don't like the sillier ones. But next time is a Dalek ep! Loved Matt Smith, but am really looking forward to Capaldi. Jenna Coleman is a love, but I hope we ditch her, so Twelve can somehow wind up with River.
