To nobody's surprise (except possibly my own), I am indeed making a Doctor/Rose vid set to Kate Bush's "The Man With the Child in His Eyes." Last night I did the first verses, and it really is a great fit with the music. It's a pretty short song, so I may be able to finish it fairly quickly. I may work on it tonight, but only after I work on my novel/poems! (Although I'm still having some lower back pain from too much time at the computer, so I need to watch that.)

All I can say is, those Doctor/Rose scenes look even shippier when you're just looking at the images...

Yesterday ALL my John Hurt goodies arrived from the UK: the biography (note to [livejournal.com profile] the_red_shoes: it has some really great photos in it! but apparently JH had a very bad time making the penguin movie, and he didn't have anything nice to say about the penguins!), The Alan Clark Diaries DVD, and the Dr. Jekkyl and Mr. Hyde audiobook. Hooray!

I *knew* you'd be vidding! :-)))

And hugs for your John Hurt score as well.

LOL! The Doctor/Rose shippiness has certainly sprung up fast and hard. Wait, that didn't sound right. *g* You know what I mean. They *are* good together, aren't they! Happy vidding and writing!

It *is* a shame. I was skeptical about him at first, but I'm converted. :-) Not Tony converted, but I do like his Doctor. And I remember seeing him in 'Clockwork Mice' (where he reforms a bunch of wayward schoolboys by making them go on long-distance runs. *snort*) and in 'Elizabeth', where he probably lost his head - I forget the details!

He's very good in 'Our Friends in the North'.

But the penguins themselves were like unto bright, shining beacons in the miserable memories of the filmmaking process, right? Right?
