I had a lovely weekend, if too short. Yesterday my friend Charlotte was having a Renoir film fest at her home--we watched The River, ate bread and cheese and chocolate and drank wine and had a lovely afternoon.
Today I finished reading Mira Grant's Feed. It's a political thriller with journalists and zombies--and you know, until writing that sentence, it never occurred to me that All the President's Men might have been even better with a few zombies shambling on screen to try and eat Robert Redford's face. But I digress. Feed is a heartbreaking roller-coaster ride of a book. It's also a novel of ideas, with some truly ingenious worldbuilding. Last night I almost made it to the end of the book, but not quite--then I went to bed and had nightmares All Night Long. Then this morning I immediately picked up the book again! Highly recommended.
