My Jack/Siobhan shipper heart is happy, because their storyline is starting to kick into high gear--or, rather, the writers are alerting us, "Yes, we really are going THERE."
Lovely how they manage to convey Siobhan's "oh crap I'm falling for my brother-in-law" realization without a word:
Siobhan: [walks into Jack's bedroom]
Shirtless!Jack: [is asleep]
Siobhan: [covers Jack with ubiquitous prop afghan]
Shirtless!Jack: [continues to sleep, continues to be shirtless]
Siobhan: [accidentally touches Shirtless!Jack]
[backs away like she just burned herself]
[hurries to the other room to make a date with her ex-boyfriend]
Such great stuff ahead. And hey, yesterday's second episode had the scene this icon is from!
OLTL made me cry on Wednesday. GH is mostly sleazy crap with a leavening of just enough good stuff to keep me watching, damn them.

Date: 2009-06-19 09:24 pm (UTC)I am easing myself slowly back into a soapish frame of mind by watching bits and bobs of Jon Lindstrom on ATWT on the intertubes-- in preparation for the only-a-month-away arrival of Lynn Herring. Soon I will watch an actual episode. :-)

What soap is your fictional one like? (I remember bits and pieces of Another World, which I enjoyed although I wasn't fannish about. Linda Dano's Felicia and Stephen Schnetzer's Cass, BFF...)

Date: 2009-06-19 11:26 pm (UTC)My fictional soap is airing in 1975-76. It's a lot like Ryan's Hope, writing-wise, except unlike RH, it's a show that's been around a long time like GL or ATWT (though not going back to radio days). It also has some influences from various clips of mid-70s soap eps I've seen (Another World and early Y&R, for example). It has that classic 70s soap feel, I hope (though it's hard to convey that in fiction)! :-)
