Yesterday's mail brought my contributor's copies of Dreams and Nightmares 112, which includes my poem "pomegranate ink" (inspired by a prompt by Elise Matthesen). The issue also includes work by Jennifer Crow, Gerri Leen, and many others.

Wiscon is less than a week away. I wish I could leave my vertigo behind when I get on the plane, but here is my schedule:

Writing About Teenagers Sat, 1:00–2:15 pm Conference 5
Becky Allen (mod.), Gwynne Garfinkle, Emily Jiang, Lauren K. Moody
All of us were teenagers at some point. How do we draw on our [possibly dated] recollections, or the experiences of teenagers in our lives, to write convincingly, respectfully, and engagingly about teenage characters?

Beyond Epiphanies Sun, 1:00–2:15 pm Conference 2
Kate Boyes, Timmi Duchamp, Gwynne Garfinkle, Liz Henry
Aqueduct authors read from their work

The SignOut Mon, 11:30 am–12:45 pm Capitol/Wisconsin
