Coming up from air from the chapter 23 rewrites to ask my FL:

I need to mention a painting of a blonde woman with rosy cheeks. Can anybody think of one? Pre-Raphaelite would be best, but it can be from any time period.

Hm. I flashed on Rossetti's "Lilith" and then realized she's more copper-haired. (She's blonde in the poem . . .)

I had thought Rossetti at first, but his women are less rosy than I remembered. Cool painting and poem, though!

This girl is pretty, but she might be a bit sad?

There's one under Ruskin about a blind girl, as well...but her hair is darker.

Rossetti's women are a lot paler than I'd remembered, at least in the web reproductions...
