If her introduction to the show is any indication (and boy, Claire Labine is good at introducing characters), it is safe to say that I am going to like Rose Melina and Jack/Rose very much. (Rose's laconic P.I. dad is pretty great too.) I loved Rose's retorts to Jack's chauvinistic challenging of her private investigator abilities:

Jack: What will your first move be, if I do decide to hire you?

Rose: Probably a deep curtsy.

Heeee. Jack's flustered, pissed off reaction to Rose reminds me a lot of his early reaction to Siobhan...


Last week when Jason told Sam that he'd slept with Liz, all I could do was laugh meanly at Sam's grief, the writers have made her look so vile. Now that the secret's out about Alexis having lung cancer, they're trying hard to make Sam seem less unsympathetic, with limited success. She still seems utterly narcissistic (i.e., "Look at my pain and guilt over my mother's cancer!" etc.). On the other hand, the Ric/Alexis scenes about the cancer have been fantastic - the mutual love that's still there despite the estrangement, Alexis's fear and rage battling with her need for Ric's support, etc.

I hear rumors that there may be Sonny/Alexis part deux. Personally I'd like a triangle with Sonny, Alexis and Ric. It'd be nice to have a couple of guys battling for Alexis's attentions for a change...

I enjoyed the hell out of her. And didja know Rose's dad is the same actor who so brilliantly dropped dead as Samuel Addison Snow?

What the hell was the deal with School Lady? She was scarier than Amy!

Really?? Neat! I still get the shivers thinking about that really quiet death scene.

The School Lady reminded me way too much of Nicolette Goulet. They could've been sisters, and they went to the same School of Wooden Acting.
