noveling: The Jo book is officially freaking me out (in a good way, I think). Occasionally I'll wonder whether I should really just be writing the political/violent/anti-Vietnam story set in 1971, without all the 1975 soap opera stuff...and then (like today) I realize that the soap stuff is the necessary fun sugar-coating that makes the horrific 1971 story palatable.

energy level: zzzzzzz

weather: not too hot, but muggy, and thus not as pleasant as I'd like.

Ryan's Hope: The debut of Tom Desmond's rooftop apartment (later to be Barry Ryan's apartment)! How I love that set. And Tom reciting poetry to Mary, and starting to be mysterious about his Past. Yay!

GH: Boring boring f'ing boring. They're actually gonna have Vincent Pastore on the show for a bit, which should be fun--but my god, Guza, GH isn't The Sopranos! Stop it already with the non-stop mob!

OLTL: Unadulterated awesome. Like these hilarious scenes from Friday's show, featuring David Vickers (man) and David Vickers (dog):

How I will miss Tuc Watkins when he leaves the series again. And the doggie's "reaction shots" are priceless...

I was wondering when we'd see the apartment! It was also Ox Knowles' apartment, too, for a while.

I will quote some wise woman named Gwynne on the very topic of being freaked out by one's writing -- good sign!

Yeah, it was much easier for me to take that tack this time around. :)

Yes, I did get your email! I was moving furniture and sorting crap, then falling into a "Smallville"-watching heap. Nice that you got to see a little bit of Ox. I did adore him and Jane, and it's too bad they don't get any airing anymore.
