day by day

Yesterday evening I watched TCM's Easter rock musical double feature, Jesus Christ Superstar and Godspell. I remember seeing both films on TV in the '70s--probably the first time each of them aired on TV?--and being intrigued in my Jewish-kid way. Plus I liked the music (and I still do).
There's something quite uncanny about seeing Victor Garber and co. dancing up a storm on top of the still-under-construction World Trade Center.
"Day by Day" was one of the first songs I learned to play on piano as a child. All day today I've had bits of songs from both musicals going through my head, which is a rather odd sensation.

(I don't know if you've been watching Ryan's Hope lately, but a week or two ago was the marvelous scene where Martha McKee calls Jack a "miserable, sniveling, very frightened man." I had to rewind and watch it again!)
