Ryan's Hopemania

I now have 22 DVD-Rs of Ryan's Hope episodes from 1982-1989 (plus a disc of interviews and promos). As if I needed more impetus to veg out in front of the TV. Right now I'm in the midst of the 1983 storylines. How will I ever tear myself away? Help!!

It's great because they keep reminiscing about the 1975 campaign and all the stuff that just happened in the eps that just aired on Soapnet...

Did you get anymore of the EJ Ryan storyline? I thought Roger and EJ were cute, though he kept fluffing my lines and screwing up the setup for poor Maureen Garrett's line. So she looks like she's flailing a lot, but it was really him.

I've seen some of Maureen Garrett's "Guiding Light" performances on YouTube, and she's SO much better than on RH, and not flailing at all. I think she was miscast as EJ - she would've been worlds better as a Siobhan recast.

Date: 2007-10-21 12:38 am (UTC)Frank knows Delia pushed him...maybe you missed the eps where they discussed it? He agreed to keep it a secret, but much later Delia pushes Pregnant!Jill and accidentally knocks her unconscious, and then I think everyone finds out about Delia pushing Frank.
Teleprompter!Frank will be around for what seems like an eternity (maybe another four-six months our time?). The good news is, Frank #2 is much better, and Frank #3 is fantastic! (There were five Franks in all, and 2-5 are all worlds better than this one...)

p.s.
